I just want to say how proud I am to be a member of the community. We have pulled together and shown what people can do. Thank you to everyone for their help.

If you haven't heard the developers have pulled out of the deal. So, the community won this fight, for now. This was announced at the meeting tonight. David Williamsm, our District Commissioner, stated publicly that he is not in favor for PD on Scotts Hill loop road. We can rest for now but after 6 months, the developer can resubmit the plans and we can go around again or another developer could come in and try to build something. Remember to keep looking at the website for updates and community news.

Thanks for all who helped with this community drive and for the support of the community.

I just got home from the meeting with a huge smile on my face! Landcraft withdrew their application for the PD rezoning. They cannot apply for at least 6 months from today.

The only reason this happened is because we came together and showed them what a close community we are and that we love our neighborhood. As Connie Hill states it..."my Scotts Hill".

I am so proud of everyone and want to thank all of those who took the time to email, make phone calls, hand out fliers, donate time and fliers, etc. I am also so happy with all of my new friends I have made through all of this.

Please keep checking www.scottshill.net as this is our new neighborhood website. Roger has done a great job and there is now a blog page you can click on to to post your opinions, comments, jobs, etc. We'd love to have a listing of local baby-sitters, lawn care businesses, etc. that we can use.

      Thank you again,

      Laurie Wierse

If you are planning on emailing the planning board you may get Frank Palmer's email back. Mr. Palmer resigned last Thursday effective immdediately. Also at the Commissioners meeting before our 7:00 pm meeting, the county commissioners voted on and agreed to terminate John Baeu, the County Manager. Just thought I would let people know jsut in case the emails came back.

I heard that they are working on redoing the plans, but will still be going for PD.

I'm sure they will do something. they have too much money invested in it.
Also, just a heads up. Something is in the works. This past week I saw a McKim and Creed truck pulling out the Foy land. So they are up to something. We will find out in a few months I guess.

We've been seeing McKim and Creed trucks in Salem Woods (south side of the loop - near Scotts Hill Baptist) taking measurements and marking pavement. Any ideas on what they could be up to?
